Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 9 / Trend H.Valiyev /

Most of the technical assistance funds by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) will fall to the Azerpoct postal service operator, head of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry's Postal Services Department and Deputy Chairman of Postal Services of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) Novruz Mammadov told Trend today.

Mammadov said the issue of allocating funds under a project to develop financial services and consumer protection is under consideration by the World Bank, and the grant term depends on the completion of the relevant procedures and requirements of the financial structure.

"The WB and SECO will allocate resources not only to postal operator. In general, the funds will focus on the development of financial services and consumer protection, and public education. The funds will be directed not only to Azerpoct, but also for other financial institutions in the republic," he said.

The Development of Financial Services Project has been implemented by the Azerbaijani government with the support of the WB since 2005.
