By Sadraddin Agjayev – Trend:

Azerbaijan’s Azeltech company engaged in the design and production of various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) plans to test several new products with the participation of servicemen in the coming months, Director of the company Samir Suleymanov told Trend.

“The company developed such UAVs as multicopter, reconnaissance drones and kamikaze drones with a maximum flight duration up to 30 minutes,” Suleymanov added.

“The flight distance depends on the speed of the drone, the quality of the GPS signal and other external factors, including weather,” director of the company added. “On average, the maximum UAV flight distance is five kilometers with the option of increasing up to two more kilometers during a direct flight.”

“We are working on eliminating the vulnerabilities of drones due to overheating, the lack of a GPS signal, external control attempts and a number of other types of interference,” the director of the company said.

“We are developing a project that will allow our drones to avoid these situations and fulfill the tasks in automatic mode without human intervention,” Suleymanov added. “At the next stage, the work will be conducted to manage the "swarm" of drones and recognize target in offline mode."

AMEA YT fleet is a young laboratory. The employees of this laboratory established Azeltech LLC to produce the products with such production capacities and a production line, as well as equipment that will produce electronic devices and develop the electronic segment of industrial, military, medical and agricultural industries.
