The solutions for protecting the end devices of the network, preventing and responding to the complex threats are in great demand in Azerbaijan, Mushvig Mammadov, official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan, told Trend.

Head of the Digital Trade Hub of Azerbaijan (DTH) project Masuma Talibova disclosed a number of innovations this week.

"All tax transactions will be carried out through the DTH platform," Talibova said.

"Full electronicization of this service in cooperation with the Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy and its introduction for use by non-residents will contribute to the expansion of e-commerce not only in Azerbaijan, but throughout the world," head of the project said.

"Taking into account the growing interest and the number of requests from foreign citizens who are mobile residents of DTH, it is possible to stress the growth of potential in the field of e-commerce in Azerbaijan," Talibova said. "More than 100 foreign entrepreneurs from 30 countries have applied to us and received digital residency of Azerbaijan."

"The information technologies of Azerbaijan are part of the global IT ecosystem, and accordingly, all cyber threats existing in the world potentially concern our country," Ilgar Aliyev, expert-analyst of The Prime Consulting & Management, told Trend this week.

"The main task in detecting cyber threats is to inform the society in a timely manner," Aliyev said. "When such threats are detected, the state bodies, as well as employees of private companies in the field of information data protection disseminate information on precautionary measures in social networks and the media."

One of the significant events of this week was the signing of a four-sided memorandum of cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship development among the Azerbaijani Innovation Agency, Turan Trade LLC and the Hungarian export agency Startup Campus LTD, HEPA non-profit company.

As part of this memorandum, startups, small and medium-sized businesses will receive useful advice on target markets, potential corporate partners and local investment opportunities.

The program will be managed and implemented by Startup Campus LTD. These solutions will open up new opportunities for digital networks to build future partnerships.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani Global Technology Service (GTS) company has developed an innovative solution "Online Cashier" for the local market.

The company stressed that this solution will allow small businesses to receive online and cash payments from their customers by using phones, tablets and computers.

Moreover, GTS has solutions for automating the state agencies and authoritative bodies. There is a project for automating small business finance accounting.

"The information technologies are ahead of all spheres of activity and IT technologies are expected to be actively introduced in the health sector in the near future," Vice President, Head of the Healthcare Industry of the German SAP SE company, Michael Byczkowski told Trend this week.

"Many patients will track their health by using fitness trackers and smartwatches, which can help doctors in their work," Byczkowski said.

In turn, the operator of Azerbaijan's biggest intranet network announced this week its readiness to provide educational institutions that will be created in the liberated Azerbaijani territories with internet.

"It is planned to install the company's equipment in all automatic telephone exchanges in the liberated territories and transfer educational institutions to the optical connection," director of AzEduNet Natiq Yakhyaev said.
