Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded at Iran’s Genaveh port up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 25 percent, in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

In total, 15,900 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port over the 4th month. About 5,310 tons of cargo were loaded and 10,600 tons were unloaded.

Also, 3,160 tons of cargo were exported and 4,600 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month.

Within the 4th month, 2,150 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,920 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

In addition, 1,570 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment, as well as 2,470 tons were unloaded for other purposes over the 4th month.

Thus, 3,160 tons of construction and mining materials, about 11,200 tons of small and assorted products and 1,570 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 4th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 12.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 4th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.14 million tons were loaded and 6.19 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
