Main diesel pipeline ruptured in North-Kazakhstan region, Kazakhstan Today reported on Tuesday referring to the regional emergency situations department. No victims were reported.

"Yellow oily spots with characteristic smell of diesel fuel were found on July 9 at 16.40 in the northwest part of town of Mamlyutki in water of wetland area. Main trans-boundary pipelines lay in this area," the department said.

Following earthworks, a flaw with 200 millimeters diameter was found in Ufa - Omsk diesel pipeline. The total area of oil spill was 50 meters wide 100 meters long.

According to the preliminary version, the pipeline's rupture was provoked by corrosive wear of metal pipe. At present, consequences of damage have been eliminated.
