BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Kyrgyzstan's National Energy Holding OJSC is implementing reforms in the country's energy sector management system, Trend reports citing the company's press service.

"Kyrgyzstan by September 2022 plans to complete one of the most crucial priority reform stages - the restructuring of the energy sector management system of the country," the message said.

According to the concept, as a result of the consolidation of companies, funds of up to 1 billion soms ($12.1 million) will be saved, that will be redirected to increase energy capacities.

As part of the reform, the energy companies OJSC Severelectro, Vostokelectro, Oshelectro and Jalalabatelectro will be merged with OJSC National Electrical Grid of Kyrgyzstan, and the OJSC Bishkekteploset with OJSC Electric Stations.

Notably, the energy industry in Kyrgyzstan will be able to start moving forward and serve as the engine for the country's development as a result of the continuing, successful energy reforms.
