Kyrgyzstan's farmers receive loans for $33M

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Farmers of Kyrgyzstan have been granted with 6,558 preferential loans totaling 2.9 billion soms ($33.7 million), under the Agricultural Financing - 11 programs, as of June 20, 2023, Trend reports.

Among these, Kyrgyzstan’s Aiyl Bank issued 3,173 loans, reaching a sum of 1.46 billion soms ($16.7 million), while RSK Bank provided 3,385 loans, totaling 1.48 billion soms ($17 million).

A total of 1,784 loans have been issued for crop production, with a combined value of 742.7 million soms ($8.5 million).

Out of these, Aiyl Bank provided 1,025 loans amounting to 443.1 million soms ($5 million), while RSK Bank granted 759 loans totaling 299.5 million soms ($3.4 million).

Furthermore, a total of 4,774 loans have been granted under the program for livestock farming, with a cumulative value of 2.2 billion soms ($25.2 million).

Among them, Aiyl Bank issued 2,148 loans amounting to 1 billion soms ($11.6 million), while RSK Bank provided 2,626 loans totaling 1.1 billion soms ($13.6 million).

Agricultural Financing - 11 program, which has been implemented since February 2023, aims to support enterprises and individuals in Kyrgyzstan by providing loans for the development of animal husbandry and crop production in the country.

The loans provided under the program are issued from the national budget of Kyrgyzstan and commercial banks.
