BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. The volume of cotton yarn production in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan from January through July 2022 has been announced, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
During this period, 13,100 tons of cotton yarn were produced in the region.
In value terms, the enterprises of the region produced cotton yarn in the amount of 197.2 million Turkmen manats ($56.4 million).
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
