Turkmenistan reveals planned amount of investments for socio-economic projects

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. As part of the socio-economic development strategy for the period 2022 - 2028, Turkmenistan plans to strengthen its production base by mastering 278.9 billion Turkmen manats ($79.6 billion), Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).

This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the State Council.

He noted that during this period it is planned to build more than 500 industrial and social facilities, open about 30,000 additional jobs, increase the competitiveness of raw materials and manufacturing industries and introduce innovative production methods.

The president stressed that over these years the total area of housing per capita will increase by 102.2 percent, 40 preschool institutions, 54 secondary schools, 4 institutions of higher professional education and 10 modern hospitals will be built.
