BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. The Buyan agro-industrial complex, located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan, produced raw materials for medicines in the amount of 8.96 million Turkmen manats ($2.56 million) from January through May this year, Trend reports.
According to the official source of Turkmenistan, the company harvested 1,146 tons of licorice root in the amount of almost 2.82 million Turkmen manats ($807,200) during the specified period.
Furthermore, Buyan produced about 550 tons of licorice root extract worth 6.74 million Turkmen manats ($1.92 million) in the first 5 months of this year.
Turkmenistan invests heavily in the formation of modern industrial infrastructure, which contributes both to the comprehensive development of the regions and to the economic prosperity of the country as a whole.
