Volume of goods and services exported from Uzbekistan for 11M2020 decreases

The volume of goods and services exported from Uzbekistan for the past eleven months amounted to $14.2 billion, which is $2 billion less than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In particular, exports of services for the reporting period amounted to $1.8 billion, while export of textiles accounted for $1.7 billion.

At the same time, the supply of food products and non-ferrous metals for 11M2020 accounted for $1.3 billion and $825 million, respectively.

In addition, export of chemical products amounted to $788.3 million, energy carriers and petroleum products - $619.6 million.

The rest of the export fell on machinery, equipment and spare parts for them, amounting to $379.3 million, ferrous metals and products made from them - $289.5 million, cotton fiber - $137 million.

Earlier it was reported that the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan from January through November 2020 almost reached $33 billion, which is 12.9 percent less than last year.

In early December, the European Commission granted Uzbekistan the status of a GSP + beneficiary, which will allow the country to trade duty-free with the EU countries on 3,000 commodity items.
