TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 19. Uzbekistan ranked 78th in the Henley & Partners Passport Index as of the third quarter of 2023, Trend reports.

Thus, according to the fact sheet, citizens of Uzbekistan can visit 59 countries visa-free or obtain a visa on arrival. Besides Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Mauritania, and São Tomé are also placed at the 78th position.

Meanwhile, as of January 2023 data, Uzbekistan was at the 85th place in the Henley Passport Index.

Kazakhstan ranked 66th (77 countries), Kyrgyzstan – 76th (63 countries), Turkmenistan – 87th (50 countries), and Afghanistan – 103rd (27 countries).

The Singaporean passport was recognized as the most powerful passport in the world, providing visa-free access to 192 countries.

Germany, Italy, and Spain took the second place, with an access to 190 countries without a visa. Japan, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, France, Sweden, and South Korea tied for the third place, allowing visa-free travel to 189 countries.

According to Henley & Partners, the index of the world's strongest passports is the first global rating reflecting the free movement of citizens and the status of countries on the world stage. The overall trend over the 18-year history of the index has been that the number of visa-free destinations for all countries steadily increased year by year.
