(IRNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and his Malaysian counterpart, Syed Hamid Albar, here on Thursday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on expansion of bilateral relations in various fields.
The MoU was inked upon the conclusion of the sixth Iran-Malaysia Joint Economic Commission session, reports Trend.
In accordance with the MoU, Tehran-Kuala Lumpur relations will be further strengthened in the economic, investment, energy,
transportation and political sectors.
The two ministers, talking to reporters after the meeting, called on their respective capitals to step up bilateral ties.
The three-day Iran-Malaysia Joint Economic Commission session started Tuesday.
