By Fatih Karimov - Trend: The Iranian Water and Electricity Higher Education Center and the Japan International Cooperation Agency are holding joint training courses for Afghan employees.

Abbas Esmaeeli, an Iranian Energy Ministry official, said that the course are being held by the Iranian Water and Electricity Higher Education Center under financial support of JICA, Iran's Mehr news agency reported on Jan. 12.

Based on agreements which have been signed by the Iranian and the Japanese institutes, 49,200 person-hour of trainings within the framework of 22 courses have been held since 2011 for 270 employees of Afghanistan's Power Authority, he added.

Iran exported some $600 million of technical and engineering services in the first eight months of the current fiscal year (March 21-November 21, 2014).

Some 30 Iranian companies are implementing 88 projects, valued at $4.357 billion, in 17 countries.
