Iran's Tejarat Bank to develop banking services with MCI

TEHRAN, Iran, May.24

Tejarat Bank and Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran (MCI) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop new banking services by the mobile network.

The following agreement would include joint cooperation in technical fields and business to increase commercial interactions and coordinating capacities, infrastructure and related network and customers on both sides, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

Tejarat Bank and MCI were obligated to assign a credit line to provide small advances, identity verification and digital signature, open banking services, startup services and digital wallet.

"Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran(MCI) has 20 million permanent users that would use banking services to pay mobile bills and now we seek to use banking services for small purchases and simultaneously pay with the mobile bills," said Mehdi Akhavan Behabadi.

"The following agreement is a step to develop new banking services and using a digital wallet that would be effective for small customers and improve production cycle," said Tejarat Bank Managing Director Reza Dowlatabadi.
