Turkmenistan's Dashoguz region holds spring planting of agricultural crops

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 17. Farmers in Turkmenistan have successfully carried out spring planting of fruits and vegetables, as well as melons, in the Dashoguz region located in the north of the country, Trend reports.

According to official data, farmers in the area planted tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, cabbage, and carrots on more than 4,000 hectares of land.

At the same time, in the Dashoguz region, farmers have planted about 3,745 hectares of land with melons this season.

Taking into account the climatic conditions of the region, local farmers paid special attention to the choice of land plots for planting crops and seed material.

Meanwhile, in recent years, the agricultural sector of Turkmenistan has demonstrated significant development, which is associated with government support, infrastructure modernization, and the introduction of advanced technologies.

Government support programs include subsidies, the provision of agricultural machinery, and the improvement of irrigation systems, which allow for increased yields and improved product quality.

An important aspect is also the development of agricultural education and the training of qualified specialists, which contribute to improving the efficiency and sustainability of the agricultural sector in Turkmenistan.
