Iranian media outlets have published key points of a nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group, which is known as the Comprehensive Joint Plan of Action.
Iran and the word major powers known as Group 5+1 (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) reached a final nuclear agreement after 22 months of talks which put an end to more than a decade-long dispute over Iran's nuclear program.
Some of the key points of the Comprehensive Joint Plan of Action, published by IRNA news agency are:
- All economic, financial, and banking sanctions against Iran imposed by the EU and the U.S. will be removed in a single stage;
- Arms embargo on Iran will be lifted and some restrictions will be replaced on the issue for 5 years;
- Iran will maintain nuclear infrastructures, and research and development on advanced centrifuges will continue;
- Iran's blocked assets, worth billions of dollars, will be unfrozen.
