Georgia's representative to NATO, Levan Dolidze is resigning in connection with the recent events in the country, the Novosti-Georgia news agency reported citing the Imedi TV channel.

Currently, Dolidze is holding last meetings at the NATO headquarters in Brussels, and afterwards he will make an official statement.

Levan Dolidze is the brother of one of the leaders of 'Our Georgia - Free Democrats' party, Victor Dolidze.

On Nov. 5, the party announced about its withdrawal from the ruling coalition of Georgia, as after a meeting of the political council of the 'Georgian Dream' bloc, the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said he dismissed the Defense Minister Irakli Alasania.

Following Alasania, his associates the State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili and Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze resigned as well.
