World Bank, Georgia develop human capital reform program

The World Bank and the Government of Georgia are preparing a human capital reform program to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the country, Trend reports via the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

The issue was discussed at the meeting between the Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili and the Director of Human Capital Development at the World Bank in Europe and Central Asia Fadia Saadah, the Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus, and other representatives of the Bank.

The parties reviewed current and future projects in Georgia supported by the WB, with special attention to the issues of cooperation in the field of human capital development.

The meeting focused on the social and educational reforms and the challenges that remain in these areas.

The sides expressed hope that the cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia in the field of human capital development will be intensified from 2022.
