Israel, Jerusalem / Тrend corr Y. Mishiyev / The talks on release of an Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit, who was captured by Hamas militants in the June of 2006, have been restored.
According to Haaretz newspaper, Israeli Vice-Prime Minister, Haim Ramon, and the person in charge of talks on captives, Ofer Dekel, met with the head of Egyptian intelligence service, Omar Suleymanov, in Cairo on 5 August. The details of the talks with Hamas regarding release of the Israeli soldier were discussed at the meeting.
