On Saturday, a passenger plane performed an emergency landing in Moscow's 'Sheremetyevo' airport, according to preliminary data,due to a fire in the left engine, press service of Transport Department of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Federal District told RIA Novosti.
"Today, at 12.25 an airplane flying from Moscow (Domodedovo) to New York performed an emergency landing at the capital airport of Sheremetyevo . According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was landing the left engine," the spokesman said.
He added that there were 221 passengers on board, nobody was hurt. Now people expect a change of the aircraft.
