IAEA Delegation Arrives in   Iran and Ready to Begin Talks with Country’s Government

Technical Team of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived on 6 August and is prepared to begin talks with officials from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) on Monday afternoon on Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.

The talks will focus on several technical issues, especially on conditions of inspecting Iran's nuclear facilities, RBK reports. The talks will continue until 9 August. The IAEA team is headed by Michio Hosoya, the agency's inspector in charge of Iran. The source added that the Iranian delegation will be led by AEOI deputy for planning, international and Majlis affairs, Mohammad Saeedi, IRNA reports.

On 30 July the inspectors of IAEA visited Iranian nuclear reactor Arak. The agreement on these two visits was reached by Iran's permanent representative to IAEA, Javad Vadi and IAEA Deputy Director General, Olli Heinonen, during the meeting in Vienna on 24 July.
