Turkish ports received 4,619 ships in August 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, out of the total number of ships accepted at the ports, 1,443 were flying the Turkish flag, 3,176 - the flags of other countries.
From January through August 2021, the ports of Turkey received 33,619 ships, including 10,285 ships flying the flag of Turkey.
The ministry added that 23,636 ships received by the Turkish ports were flying the flags of other countries.
