Sea cargo transportation by ro-ro ships between Turkey and Egypt is continuing without any problems, Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazici said, TRT Haber channel reported on Thursday.
According to Yazici, some delays were observed in the passages of vessels in the early days of unrest in Egypt, but these have been eliminated.
For 18 months, Turkey has been delivering cargo through Egyptian territory to Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states instead of routing through Syria.
Cargo is delivered by ships to the Egyptian harbour of Port Said and then transported by road to Saudi Arabia.
