The Board of Trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) will be headed by Emzar Goguadze. This decision was made by nine members of the board by secret ballot.

The Board of Trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) will be headed by Emzar Goguadze. This decision was made by nine members of the board by secret ballot.

Previously, the position was held by Levan Gakheladze.

According to Goguadze, 10 council members out of 13 participated in the voting procedure. Nine of them voted for him, while one person abstained.

The first round of elections was held on July18. Along with Emzar Goguadze, Natalia Dvali also was running for the position, however, the candidates failed to gain the required number of votes in the first round.

Emzar Goguadze has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Public Broadcasting since 2009.
