BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Azerbaijan intends to deepen cooperation with OTS (Organization of Turkic States) countries in the agricultural sector, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov said at a press conference, Trend reports.
"The OTS countries have great potential in the field of agriculture. Joint efforts are planned to be developed, which will improve agricultural projects aimed at assisting the agricultural industry in the region," he noted.
The 2nd meeting of the Ministers in charge of Agriculture of the OTS member countries, within which the press conference was held, adopted the final declaration.
The declaration defined increasing trade turnover in agriculture and food, stimulating mutual investments, transferring modern technologies in the agricultural sector, mutual exchange of best practices, effective management of land and water resources, promotion of the agricultural insurance system, and others as the main directions for further cooperation among the OTS member states.
