BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. In order to reconstruct and restore cities and villages to ensure "Great Return" to the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from Armenian occupation, creation of modern infrastructure in these territories, some 4 billion manat ($2.3 billion) are in the state budget of 2024, Trend reports.
This is stated in the draft state budget of Azerbaijan for 2024 presented by the Ministry of Finance.
In addition, 355.3 million manat ($208.9 million) is planned in the state budget for the next year to ensure social protection of former IDPs.
From these funds 317 million manat ($186.4 million) is envisaged to provide a single monthly allowance of 60 and 33 manat to persons with the status of former IDPs and persons equated to them (467,100 people), 20.7 million manat ($12.1 million) to finance payment for public utilities consumed by former IDPs and persons equated to them at the expense of the state budget.
Other expenses are projected at 17.6 million manat ($10.3 million).
