Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. E. Husseynli/ Sayyad Aran, the Consul General of Azerbaijan to Turkey, announced that the international conference dedicated to genocides committed worldwide was held in the Turkish University of Bilgi.
According to Mr. Aran, conference participants discussed the Khodjali Genocide as well. The participants of the event focused their attention on the fact that the Armenians have carried out genocide policies against the Turkic people in different periods of history. Along with students representing different countries, Turkish citizens of Armenian origin took part in the meting. They also condemned the Khodjali Genocide and demanded punishment for the master minders, initiators, and executors of the mentioned tragedy which took place in the small Azerbaijani Town of Khodjali on February 26th, 1992. The Azerbaijani Consul General noted that the documentary named "Khodjali", presented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, had been screened for the event's participants. Vural Savash, the former Public Prosecutor of Istanbul City, created a report revealing that Armenians were allegedly subjected to genocide during World War I.
