Homeless Dogs Fired due to Rabies Fact in Astara Region of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Lankaran / Trend corr. P.Aliyeva / Consultation was held under the chairmanship of Mahir Guliyev, the head of the Executive Administration of Lankaran region, after revealing rabies in caw in Astara region. It was decided to annihilate homeless dogs.

Mubariz Akhundov, the chief of the Veterinary Department of Lankaran region, stated to the Trend Agency that firing of dogs on 22 August.

About 20 homeless dogs were annihilated in several villages, including Astara.

Three fact of rabies were registered in Astara region within the recent 10 days. Homeless dog bitten four people in Arichivan village.

Rabies was revealed in cattle in Siyaki village of Lankaran. A caw bitten a man in one case. Some 115 facts of bite by dogs were registered in the region.

Rabies was approved by expertise held in the laboratory of the Republic State Veterinary Service. Some 900 cattle were vaccinated.
