Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 March /corr. Trend D.Khatinoglu / The UN Security Council resolutions regarding Iran's nuclear program will not influence Tehran's plans. "The UN Security Council resolution against Iran's nuclear program cannot affect the development of nuclear technology in the country," the Chairman of the Research Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Ahmed Tavakkoly, reported to Trend .

On 3 March the UN Security Council passed the third Resolution with regards to Iran's nuclear program. The vast majority of permanent and non-permanent members of the Security Council voted for adoption of the Resolution. Only Indonesia took a neutral position.

The UN Security Council resolutions regarding Iran do not influence the country's policy and public way of life, Tavakkoly said by telephone from Tehran on 4 March. "Political pressure and economic sanctions are not obstacles for the development of nuclear technology for peaceful goals, but even brought to the development of Iran. American plans for the international isolation of Iran yielded opposite results," the Chairman of the Committee said.

Tavakkoly added that up to now, the IAEA reports on Iran testify the legality of the country's nuclear plans from a technical and juridical point of view. "Openly supporting Tehran's position, the last IAEA report ignored the accusations against Iran. The new resolution was adopted not on the basis of analytic information, but as a result of pressure from the USA, and this step is a large blow to the image of the Security Council," the Iranian official said.

The UN Security Council requires Iran to stop uranium enrichment and already passed the third resolution. It will impose a ban on foreign visits by 18 officials and economic relations with 13 companies. In addition, the Resolution contains challenges to international companies to become more attentive in economic relations with the Iranian banks 'Melli' and 'Saderat'.
