It is planned to hold a draw in Azerbaijan to allocate free airtime for the presidential candidates, registered for the participation in elections, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov said on Thursday.
The candidates will be provided with free airtime, in accordance with the results of the draw which will be held on September 16.
The airtime will be provided by the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Azerbaijan.
Presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held October 9. The previous presidential elections were held on October 15, 2008.
Azerbaijan holds presidential elections every five years.
