Today representatives of Ganja car factory are talking to executive of Chinese car manufacturer Sangan, Trend reports quoting Hanlar Fatiyev, head of president of the factory. The talks are aimed at possible manufacture of Chinese cars in Azerbaijan.
Experts of LIFAN of China visited the factory in early May and performed a market study. As per the contracts the factory officials concluded with Chinese colleagues, details to assemble cars are arriving in the factory in a month. At the moment the factory is upgrading its capacities and documentation.
According to the contract concluded in March, the factory will produce small trucks (1 to 3.5 ton), minivans and cars.
The factory is also keeping the manufacture of cars licensed by Russian UAZ. Up to 1.5k of these cars will be produced by the end of this year. The demand for such cars is expected to rise significantly this year.
