60 members of the Georgian National Assembly scientists, intellectual people, have recently appealed to the President Mikhail Saakashvili with a demand to acknowledge the genocide Armenians committed in Georgia. The appeal points out that in 1993, Armenian military gang Bagramyan jointly with Abkhazians fought against Georgians. It resulted in death of many Georgians living in Abkhazia. No Armenian had lived in Georgian Javakhetia until the Czar Russia settled Armenians on this territory. However, many Armenians points Javakhetia as a part of Armenia on their maps.
