The Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vasili Istratov, said on December 20 in the presentation of the information room and News Agency Novosti-Azerbaijan that the Azerbaijani media needs to actively join the information space of Russia to fill up the information lack about Azerbaijan.
The event took place within the Days of RIA Novosti in Azerbaijan commenced in Baku today. The Deputy Director General of RIA Novosti, A.Babinski, Director General of the Directorate of RIA Novosti in CIS and Baltic countries, A.Kasayev and Director General of Echo Moscow Radio Station, A.Venediktov, arrived to Baku to participate in the events organized within the Days.
The program of the Days includes the evening in Baku Slavic University and signing a co-operation agreement between RIA Novosti and Baku Slavic University, opening jubilee photo exhibition of RIA Novosti 65 years together with country, presenting the joint project of RIA Novosti and Azerbaijan Newspaper appendix News from Russia in Azeri language and signing Agreement on co-operation and information exchange between RIA Novosti and Novosti-Azerbaijan.
