Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr D. Khatynoghlu / The issue of the possible inclusion of Iranian Sipah-Pasdaran military forces in the list of terrorist networks by the United States has been raised to justify attacks by the United States on Iran, according to several political experts.

"Participation of Sipah-Pasdaran military forces in political games give USA an opportunity to attack Iran," Iranian politician Isa Saharkhiz said.

The internet-site of the US State Department accuses Iran's Sipah-Pasdaran, particularly the Sipah-Guds division of attempted provocation in Iraq and other countries. As a result, USA intends to include the military force as part of the terrorist network.

On the threshold of the next presidential elections, the US radical forces call official Teheran the cause for the unsuccessful war in Iraq and Afghanistan and accuse Iran of provocation in those countries, Isa Saharkhiz reported to Trend from Teheran on 23 August.

"In our opinion, all these accusations are groundless," he said.

According to him, USA wants to blame its failure in Iraq and Afghanistan to other forces, including Iran. "In such a crisis we are taking the situation into account and restricting the activities of Sipah-Pasdaran. Otherwise, USA will possibly attack Iran's strategic positions," Saharkhiz noted.

Iran's several political forces politicizing Sipah-Pasdaran, use this military force for their interests.

Sipah-Pasdaran was formed under the order of Iran's clerical leader, Imam Khomeyni, exclusively for the protection of the country's borders and for the revolution. In his will, Khomeyni demanded not to involve these political forces in politics, Saharkhiz said.

"Political reforming forces in Iran assess involving of Sipah-Pasdaran in politics as evident non-recognition of Imam Khomeyni's principles and the revolution," the politician said

USA asked the UN Security Council to freeze the bank accounts of the Chairman of Sipah-Pasdaran, who plays a major role in the development of Iran's nuclear program, in the 3rd resolution likely to be applied to Iran.
