Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend Z.Safarova / The male national hockey team of Azerbaijan was unsuccessful at the European championship in Challenge- 1 division held in Kazan, Russia.
The Azerbaijani hockey-players lose the first match with the host team with the score 6:0, Trend reports. The Russian hockey players differed twice in the first time, and after the break they drove in the rival's gates four times. Despite the failure in the start, the Azerbaijani team still has a chance to be qualified for the elite division to be comprised of 2 teams. In this respect, the Azerbaijani team should defeat the national teams of Swiss, Croatia, Byelorussia and Dania.
Initially, the national teams were divided in 2 groups, but organizers decided to held circular tournament after refusal of the Greece National team to play in Kazan.
