13th General Assembly of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges Held in Belgrade

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / On 6-8 September of 2007 the 13th General Assembly (GA) of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) was held in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade hosted by Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) and attended by about 18 members.

Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) was represented at that event by Kamran Aliyev, the chief of the marketing division of BSE. During the event the meetings of the Working and Executive Committees of FEAS also took place. Those meetings discussed some items of the agenda, and adopted the agenda of the GA to be held.

The GA held on 8th September was opened by Osman Birsen, the President of FEAS and the chairman Istanbul Stock Exchange, and after that the discussions of the items of the agenda started. The main agenda items were approval of the minutes of 12th GA, discussion of the 2007 Activity Report with first half of 2007, 2006 audited accounts, revision of the 2006 membership dues, further stimulation of the FEAS Bilateral Exchange Program implementation and other issues. A proposal to hold the next FEAS Working Committee meeting in Baku was also put forward at the meeting and BSE is currently discussing this proposal.

BSE has been a full member of FEAS since 2001. In November of 2006, BSE was admitted to the Executive Committee of the Federation.
