In January-July 2018, a total of 165,455 Iranian vessels have passed through the territorial waters of Turkey, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Sept. 7.
The ministry noted that 52,000 Iranian vessels flying the Turkish flag, 24,606 vessels flying the flag of Iran, and 88,849 vessels flying the flags of other countries have sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey during this year.
Last year, 238,959 Iranian ships sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey, of which 77,428 sailed under the flag of Iran and 161,531 flied the flags of other countries.
In the first seven months of 2018, a total of 51,697,256 vessels from different countries sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey, 7,802,316 of which sailed under the Turkish flag, 2,395,205 vessels - under their own flags, and 41,499,735 vessels - under the flags of other countries.
