Kazakhstan increases import with EAEU partners

The value of mutual trade of Kazakhstan and other EAEU countries amounted to $7.803 billion during January-May 2019, which is 0.1 percent less than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, the export value in the reporting period amounted to $2,411 billion with a decrease of 4.1 percent, whereas the import value increased by 1.8 percent and amounted to $5.392 billion.

Russia is the leader by value of trade turnover with Kazakhstan in the structure of total trade turnover with EAEU countries. Some 92.4 percent account for this country, whereas 4.1 percent account for Kyrgyzstan and 3.4 percent account for Belarus.

Thus, the largest part in the import structure is machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools category with indicator of 22.7 percent of the total import. Some 16.3 percent account for metals and articles of them, 15.6 percent account for products of chemical and related industries, 14.3 percent account for other import. Furthermore, some 13.6 percent of the import account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items. Lastly, some 12.5 percent account for mineral products.

In turn, the major part of the export structure (39.6 percent) accounts for mineral products. Furthermore, some 26.7 percent account for metals and articles of them, 12.6 percent account for products of chemical and related industries, 10.1 percent account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items, 7.3 percent account for machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools, and 3.4 percent account for other export.
