One of the measures to increase labor productivity in agriculture by 2.5 times, and to double agriculture goods export is to introduce digitalization aspect to the sector, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin said, Trend reports citing the press office of the prime minister.

Mamin noted that complete digitalization of the agriculture sector will allow to reduce the cost of processed agriculture products, improve. their quality and competitiveness. Within 5 years, 50 billion tenge ($118.2 million) will be invested in the digitalization of more than 100 million hectares of agricultural land within the framework of a public-private partnership.

Thus, digitalization in crop and livestock production allows to increase production by 20 percent. At the same time, the farmer's costs are reduced by more than 15 percent.

In the future, the grain harvest will increase to 25 million tons per year only due to digitalization measures taken. As part of the digitalization of land relations, work is underway to create a Unified State Real Estate Cadastre, which includes data on land plots, buildings and structures.

The government has submitted an appropriate bill to the Parliament, which will allow transferring many services to electronic format, simplifying the procedure for providing land plots and, in general, improving the quality of services provided to the population.

Mamin also gave instructions to the ministries of agriculture and digital development, as well as regional akimats (administrative centers), to develop a Roadmap for further digitalization of the agro-industrial complex within one month. Mamin instructed to distribute a pilot project on space monitoring of lands throughout the country in 2021.

The ministries and akimats were also instructed to complete the work on the digitization next year, ensure the transparency of the process of registration of land plots and reduce the time for issuing documents for them from 1 year to 20 days.
