Iran expects increase of budget revenues

TEHRAN, Iran, Dec.2

Trend:

It is expected that Iran's revenues for the next Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) would increase, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports via IRNA.

"General budget revenues for next Iranian year has increased to $200 billion, and we believe that we could provide this figure from taxes, customs, tariffs ,and sale of bonds and shares at the stock exchange. This would form the main revenues," said Rouhani.

He said Iran has been assessing its possibilities and conditiions regarding the increase of its oil sales in the next Iranian year (starts March 21,2021).

"Although we have predicted the sale of 2.3 million barrels of oil and condensate but we do not increase the budget reliance on oil," he said.

"The oil revenues would be used for development of railway, transit, power plants, oil and gas infrastructures and empowerment of people," he said.

"The government is expected to offer $22 billion of its shares in companies for the sale at the stock exchange," he said.

"Iran's export and import have declined in the early months of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) due to effect of the coronavirus on economy. The country's non-oil export has experienced a 19-percent decline in value and 14-percent weight drop in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020)," he said.

"Oil income has also declined, compare to the previous years due to obvious reasons but we have no problem regarding oil exports, yet our customers have been facing problems," he said.
