The volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan amounted to 33.7 billion manat ($19.8 billion) from January through November 2020, having dropped by 4.7 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
“At the same time, the growth of industrial production in the non-oil sector during the reporting period amounted to 11.5 percent, while the production in the oil sector declined by 6.4 percent year on year. Some 60.7 percent of the production fell on the mining industry, 33.2 percent - on the processing industry, 5.2 percent - on the production and distribution of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.9 percent - on the water supply sector. cleaning and recycling of waste,” said the committee.
The volume of production and distribution of electricity, gas, and steam increased by 8 percent, while in the field of water supply, waste treatment, and recycling, a decline of 6.9 percent was recorded.
In 2019, Azerbaijan’s industrial production grew by 4.3 percent year on year.
