Iran produced 40.7 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, this is an increase of 8.6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
"While in the same period last Iranian year, Iran produced 37.5 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products," the report said.
In addition, Iran produced 5.12 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products within the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 22 through November 20, 2020). This is a decrease of 0.9 percent compared to the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 22 through October 21, 2020), the report said.
