In total, 30,600 apartments will be handed over to citizens by the end of the current Iranian government (August 2021), Trend reports citing the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
According to the report, a total of 9.49 trillion rials (about $225 million) was spent on the construction of these apartments.
“Of these apartments, 2,970 units were built in cities with a population of more than 25,000, 1,800 units in the cities with a population of less than 25,000 and about 25,900 units in new cities,” the report said.
Thus, 504 apartments will be handed over to the citizens in East Azerbaijan Province with a 99-year lease, 289 apartments in Bushehr Province, 558 apartments in North Khorasan Province, 432 apartments in Qazvin Province, 313 apartments in Gilan Province, and 72 apartments in Markazi Province,” the report said.
According to the report, in the new cities built in Iran - 128 apartments are ready to be handed over to citizens in Baharestan, 193 apartments in Binalud, 10,600 apartments in Pardis, 7,940 apartments in Parand, 196 apartments in Ramsar, 183 apartments in Sahand, 102 apartments in Shirin Shahr, 1,490 apartments in Golbahar, 5,020 apartments in Hashtgerd.
As reported, under the Mehr Housing Plan in Iran, most of the apartments are about 90 percent are provided with a 99-year lease, and the rest is in the form of a down payment and a loan.
