In total, 148 trillion rials (about $3.51 billion) has been invested in industrial enterprises in the Zanjan Province (western Iran) from the Iranian Revolution (1979) to August 2, 2021, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Zanjan Province Nasser Faghfouri said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
The chairman noted that the largest investments were made in the province’s Abhar County – 66 trillion rials (about $1.57 billion), and in the Zanjan County – 51 trillion rials (about $1.21 billion).
“At present, 1,140 industrial enterprises operate in Zanjan Province and more than 44,000 people work in these enterprises,” he added.
According to Faghfouri, there are 689 enterprises in Zanjan County, 216 enterprises in Abhar County and 79 enterprises in Khodabandeh County.
In addition, there are 55 industrial enterprises in Khorramdarreh County, 31 in Ijrud County, 28 in Mahneshan County, 22 in Tarom County and 21 in Soltaniyeh County, the chairman said.
Faghfouri emphasized that about 22,000 people work in industrial enterprises in Zanjan County, 12,400 in Abhar County and 3,370 in Khorramdarreh County.
