TEHRAN, Iran, October 5. Iran’s trade with the Caspian Sea countries has grown in the first five months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peyman Pak, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Iran’s export to Azerbaijan had an 84 percent increase, meanwhile, the export to Russia and Turkmenistan has a 31 percent and 40 percent increase respectively during the first five months of the current Iranian year, he said.
Peyman Pak pointed out Iran’s diverse export commodities to the Caspian Sea region including industrial products including catalysts, oil and gas equipment, turbine and compressor, home appliance, and auto parts in addition to traditional commodities like agricultural products.
Iran would sign an agreement with the Caspian Sea countries to export medical biotechnology and anticancer drugs in the coming months.
According to the official, Iran is in negotiation with the Caspian Sea region countries to boost trade and reach a free trade agreement.
