Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange down

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. In total, 3.13 million tons of goods and 70 passenger cars worth 286 trillion rials (about $6.8 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (June 17 through June 22, 2023), Trend reports.

The sales have decreased by 10 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian week (June 10 through June 15, 2023).

Meanwhile, 2.8 million tons of goods and 588 passenger cars worth 318 trillion rials (about $7.57 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week.

Last week, 2.61 million tons of goods and mentioned number of passenger cars worth 198 trillion rials (about $4.72 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section.

The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, lead, molybdenum concentrate and etc.

Furthermore, over 497,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 83.2 trillion rials (about $1.98 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were bitumen, vacuum bottom, polymers, chemicals, lube cut, base oil, petroleum products, sulfur, etc.

At the same time, 16,500 tons of various products worth 4.67 trillion rials (about $111 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
