French Specialists to Visit Baku within Frazer Project

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Babayeva / French specialists will be visiting Azerbaijan in September within the Frazer project, it was reported by a source from the Agriculture Ministry of Azerbaijan on 9 August.

During their visit, the specialists will exchange views on the results of the measures taken this year, as well as on the possibility of extending the duration of the project that is coming to an end. The specialists are expected to visit the project-covered regions of Guba, Khachmaz, Tartar and Sheki.

The Frazer project was launched in 2003 through the assistance of the Embassy of France and the Luare Chamber of Agriculture. Pilot fruit gardens have been created in the area of more than 4,000 h in the northern region of Azerbaijan. In addition, the French specialists had presented Azerbaijan with seeds which were planted in Tartar and Sheki as part of an experiment.
