Iran’s oil production reaches 3.9 mb/d

Iran's current oil production hits 3.9 million barrels of oil per day, Mehr News Agency quotes the National Iranian South Oil Company Managing Director Hourmuz Galavand as saying.

"Currently, on average 3.9 million barrels of oil is produced per day form 80 oil fields and 60 hydrocarbon reserves," he said.

He stressed that the southern area, which is rich in oil, currently produces 32,000 barrels of Naphtha per day and 110 million cubic meters of gas, while its gas condensate production capacity hits 120,000 barrels per day.

Iran has OPEC's third-highest oil output, and ranks third in the world in terms of natural gas reserves after Russia.
