The Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company in Iran’s south-western Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province has saved 10 billion rials (about $238,000) via reverse engineering, Feyzullah Zahid, director of the chemical laboratories of the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company, said.
The specialists of the company’s laboratory carried out reverse engineering of Sulfur Chemiluminescence Detection (SCD) gas chromatography equipment, Zahid added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
Zahid added that while modernizing the equipment, it was put into operation again.
So, no money was spent on the purchase of the spare parts for the equipment, he said.
The Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company subordinates to the National Iranian South Oil Company. The company specializes in oil extraction, refining, transportation, production of natural gas and gas condensate.
The company produces more than 600,000 barrels of oil daily. More than eight million cubic meters of gas are extracted daily. The Gachsaran oil field operated by the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company is the second biggest oil field in Iran.
